Tonight was a meeting about the kids' Spain trip. They're getting excited and I'm excited for them and also nervous about them traveling alone.
We did not manage to have dinner tonight. We got back late from the meeting and then just...didn't get it together. I had a bowl of cereal and the kids made a weak effort at heating up a scant amount of leftovers. I still find myself getting just incredibly tired by the end of the day. It's only been two and a half weeks since my final treatment, and I know I need to just be patient, but still. I feel fine and energetic until around 8pm, and at that point I can barely even muster up enough energy to refill Nutmeg's water bowl. It's like a switch flips and I'm just...done.

Andrew was supposed to get home tonight in the early evening because he'd booked a flight through Newark. Clearly, he hadn't been reading any news this week. When I told him on the phone that flying through Newark was probably not the best idea, in fact it was a dangerous and unwise idea, he rebooked through Chicago.
The kids stayed late at school for the annual Spring Fling event (Lucia and a friend stayed for a bit then went shopping in Shadyside). When they got home, we ordered Pizza Hut (their choice) and settled in to watch--at last--the series finale of Lost.
Despite what I'd been suspecting from the ambient cultural consensus about this finale that I'd absorbed over the years, I have to say I liked the conclusion. Still, I'm sad it's over. We've spent four months with this series, all those hours watching together (sometimes when we maybe should have been doing other things), and I'm going to miss the show, and that time together. This was a uniquely engaging viewing experience that sustained and entertained me during four of the worst months of my life.
Not to worry: I'll have more to say about Lost in the posts to come.

Our Volvo continues to recuperate in Greensburg. It appears now that it will be fixed. This morning Andrew and I went out and rented a car for the next week. It would be really really nice if we didn't have to buy a car on top of a retaining wall and a kitchen.
I had a work event to go to later this afternoon for about an hour and a half. When I got home, Andrew made enchiladas, and it was nice enough to eat on the porch. Later, we all watched the first two episodes of This Is Us--our new show. Of course, I've seen this series, and sobbed over it, and I think the kids are going to like it. I'm happy for the chance to rewatch it.
