Summer: NH, Tues. 7/6
A full day of NH fun. The girls read all morning and then, after lunch, we went down to the creek to explore. Farrah waded around and seemed to have fun traipsing through the rocks and woods, until we went to the part of the creek across the road, where the swimming hole is--she did not like that part at all. She was on edge, tail down, anxious. She sensed something there.
We went to the pond next to float and swim. Our new floating dock is working out great. Greta was determined to catch (and release) fish in her net, which she did.
Then it was time to read in hammocks until dinner.
Tonight's dinner was a NH tradition, the Fried Dinner, where Andrew deep fries a bunch of veggies in a cast-iron pan: zucchini, onion rings, eggplant, sweet potato fries, chicken tenders. Delicious.
Then we drove into Windsor for ice cream at Frazier's. First Maple Creamee of the season.
Back at home, Andrew and I played with Farrah in the yard. A few times sprinting up and down the hill is enough to tire her out for the evening.
A lovely NH day.
