Summer: Fri., 7/26

Today was kind of a crazy day of beach preparation. I finished packing everything, made some chicken to bring, ran some final errands. The girls made pom-poms and played in the basement. After lunch we went to the pool for a bit, then met up with Katherine at home. More pom-poms, lots of Taylor Swift. I cleaned up the tinkerspace, so it'll be a clean slate when we get back from the beach.

At six I drove Lucia to a friend's house for a sleepover, and then Andrew, Katherine, Greta, and I went out to dinner at a new restaurant that opened just down the block from us called Luna Stella. It was delicious. Then we went to the ice cream shop and bought a few things at Perch's sidewalk sale. Greta and Katherine watched an episode of Liv & Maddy, and then Greta went to bed. She was very happy to play the role of "only child" tonight. But she picked out a sloth-patterned zippered pouch at Perch for Lucia and admitted she wouldn't want to be an only child for very long.

We're so excited about the beach. The girls can't wait to get there.
